London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom of Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland) and Northern Ireland. Each of these member countries of the UK has its own capital city - Scotland - Edinburgh, Wales - Cardiff and Northern Ireland - Belfast.

London has a population of some 7 million inhabitants is situated in the south eastern corner of England. There are four major airports serving the capital and one of them - Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world.
